From what I have learned this is 1 of 1,100 produced under VW
Champagne Edition II production in 1978. (Please do your own research
based on the Vin) This car is very original including the survivor interior,
reconditioned OEM stamped steel wheels, OEM VW baby moon hubcaps,
factory radio / cassette deck, original 1978 spare tire, original convertible
top and gas tank. Vehicle was previously owned by an elderly German
gentleman with deep roots in Germany. We have owned the VW since 2014.
This is a limited-edition vehicle offered with the rare hard to find a sand
interior and cream top. (Champagne Edition II.) Floors are rock solid and
the vehicle starts, drives, handles and brakes like it did in 1978. All service
records and receipts are available. This falls into the category of hard to
find with history. Based on the Vin # this was the 83 rd Champane Edition
