PRICED TO SELL! 1978 Spitfire 1500 w/ OD. Strong engine with Weber 32/36, header, Monza exhaust, Crane Cams Coil/ignition. 4 speed w/ working OD. New rear seal, new fluid, new clutch/release bearing/slave cylinder. New U-Joints. New front oil seal on Differential. Reconditioned rear spring w/ new buttons and bushings. New radius arm bushings. Brakes: Front- new Discs, rebuilt cylinders, rebuilt Master Cylinder, Braided Steel lines, new wheel bearings. Rear- turned drums, new pads, new cylinders, Braided Steel lines. Rust: this car received some type of rust treatment in the past but has rust in the following areas: Drivers floor board-moderate rust w/ dime sized hole, rear rocker panels where they meet the rear wheel wells has dime sized holes, rear tow hook is rusted trough were it is welded to frame. Scattered surface rust elsewhere. What this car needs to be a driver: Front Suspension. I've driven ~ 20miles since completing work. Steering is fair up to about 50mph. VERY vague beyond that. UPDATE!! Steering much improved since rework of Rear Spring this past weekend (9/11). Drove car for over 20miles at 55-60mph on back country 2-lane roads. Held road well. Blast to drive.
