1978 Toyota Land Cruiser $13,600

Black · 8 Cylinder · 44,125 miles

Fellow toyota lovers,  this is a great weekend warrior for someone looking for all the function on the trail and still turn some heads while around town.  If you can brave no A/C it will serve as a daily driver.

75% or better 33 x 12.50 x R15 LT Wildcat EXT.  All five matching polished aluminum American Racing wheels.  Spare tire is a BF Goodrich w/ 20% tread.

Complete overhaul in 2015. It's got a new chevy 350 vortec crate motor, new stock toyota FJ 4 speed manual transmission w/ advanced adapters bell housing, new stock FJ transfer case, new custom length drive lines front and rear, new 4 core aluminum radiator with dual electric fans.  New brakes, new clutch slave cylinder, new electrical relays and aux fuse panel.  ARB on board air compressor and front air locker.

All the major mechanical are in good/excellent condition and replaced within the last 2 years.  The first $12-$15K of your build budget and a year of chasing gremlins is done.  It starts every time, blinks, brakes, turns, and cools itself without any improvising on your part.  Its legal, safe, and most of all reliable.  $24K spent (others say "invested") as it sits today.

Recent Besttop softtop and soft doors, CB radio and antennae, 5 point harness/seats, fully welded roll cage, full size spare tire.  It's trail proven and has been to Crown King and back in the middle of summer without overheating.  The paint is a heavy coat of matte finish black.  It's a daily driver if your willing and has been fully proven to haul two boys, one dog and two bikes to Soccer Practice, Football Practice, the community fishing ponds, and grocery store.  My other daily driver is my mountain bike / road bike.

If your looking for "that" one that sold at Barrett Jackson for $80K, this isn't it.  If your looking for the comfort of coil springs, air conditioning, bluetooth, and navigation, this isn't it.  This is nostalgia not JK nausia.

It IS from 1978.  If it hasn't been replaced recently it is subject to being just plain old.  It drives exactly like a 1978 with 12.5 inch wide tires should.  It could use a new headlight switch if you want the dash lights to dim properly.  Bring all offers, clean/clear title in hand.  I put an asking price but the rig is worth to you what it's worth, come take a look and make an offer.  I gladly negotiate face to face with qualified buyers.  I'm available most M-F evenings after 5 and weekends by appointment.

Owner/Finance and Trade:  Bring the first $10K in cold hard cash and I'll be happy to talk about what other arrangements can be made.

Thanks for looking!

I do not need assistance selling and do NOT welcome solicitations for other services.
