This 1978 Jeep CJ7 is a really cool, all steel, solid and clean CJ that spent its life in Arizona. We bought this from the 2nd owner and it still has the original paint and the original LEVIs emblems. This is a factory V8 with some nice modifications. This Jeep was known as Junior back in the day and you can still see Junior on the sides. The original owner was the President of the local Jeep club and used the Jeep for trail rides acting mostly as a spotter for people. The miles are said to be original and we believe it based on everything we see. The body and steel on this Jeep is awesome! Solid and Clean. The Sunshine Yellow paint appears to be all original and polished up nicely with only some minor patina. It still has the original front bumper with a tow bar and they added an 8,000 pound winch that is working. The rear bumper is the original hitch bumper. The factory hard top and doors are still in great condition. The underside is super clean and you can still see the original yellow paint in places. We found no rust issues with this Jeep.

The interior is you basic Jeep interior and is still nice. It has new Bestop Highback Trailmax II seats in the front and a new Bestop fold and tumble rear seat in the back. It has the factory roll bar with new padding and a nice center console. The headlights taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. It has tilt steering wheel. The horn and windshield wipers work. The heat works. It has an aftermarket stereo that is working. It also has a CB that powers up and appears to be working.

Mechanically this Jeep is top notch! It runs and drives great! It has the 5.0 AMC 304 V8 engine that is believed to be the original and the cowl tag supports that. It was rebuilt around 10,000 miles ago per the last owner but we did not get the receipt. It appears totally stock under the hood and still has the factory smog hooked up. They rebuilt the carb and added a HEI ignition and Flowmaster exhaust. The engine runs strong. The transmission is an upgraded T5 5 Speed Manual that shifts great (used to be 3 speed manual). This was done the same time as the engine and they replaced the clutch. It is mated to the Dana 20 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is the AMC 20 with 3.73 gears and an ARB Air Locker with an ARB Compressor. The front axle is a Dana 30 with 3.73 gears and it also has an ARB Locker. It has a 2 Inch all spring lift with heavy duty shackles. This Jeep does have power steering and power front disc brakes. It is sitting on a nice set of aftermarket aluminum wheels with 33 Inch All terrain tires.
