If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
1978 Datsun 280z 2+2 - 2.8L Inline 6 Cylinder - 5 Speed Manual Transmission - 47k Miles - Light Blue Paint Over Black Interior - Enkei Wheels (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, its possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Offered here is an extremely clean and garage-kept 1978 Datsun 280ZX 2-Door Coupe. The car has been maintained locally for many years and its now time for a new home. It is powered by the original 2.8L Inline 6-Cylinder motor mated to a 5-Speed Manual gearbox with RWD. As the 240Z market continues to climb, we feel the late 280ZX Datsuns are the next collector cars, and you wont get much more collectible than this. The Zs silhouette is unmistakable. Fastback body style, long hood, sugar scoop headlight buckets, simple bumper treatment - its a thing of beauty. This Z car is finished in the factory original color of Light Blue Metallic paint, which looks great thanks to a recent repaint. This car is extremely clean, as you can see in our photos. The underside photos are something to see, very clean and rust free under this car from the body to the suspension components. This Z has another trick up its sleeve - its a 2+2. Thats right, you can squeeze two more people in this car, maybe your children who want to partake in the fun of a Japanese classic! The interior is classic Z: driver focused, and comfortable. It fits like a glove once youre seated and ready for a drive. It is in great condition with highlights being; three spoke steering wheel, leather covered sport seats, original AM/FM Radio, tachometer, speedometer and 3 openings in the dash housing auxiliary gauges. The interior is in great condition, which goes right along with the great condition of the exterior. Under the forward canting hood, is a 2.8L inline-6 mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. To maintain a connected driving experience, the car does not have power steering. Its light enough that this is not an issue, but pair the 5-speed, rear wheel drive setup, and the lack of power steering and youre sure to have an awesome driving experience. Modern versions of the classic Enkei 92 wheels are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires, which provide grip when pushing this Z to its limits. This is truly a fine example of one of Japans most recognizable sports cars. The Datsun Z became legend with the 240 and this example will surely be the next one to climb in value.
