Classic Car Overview

To mark Corvettes 25th Anniversary the 1978 model received major aerodynamic restyling with a large wrap around back window, a fastback roof line which answered criticisms of limited luggage space and a commemorative badge on the front nose. A new temporary space saving spare tire enabled the installation of a new larger 24-gallon fuel tank. The interior was also upgraded for 1978 by putting the round gauges in a more squared off area and a glove box replaced the map pockets located in front of the passenger. This beauty is completely numbers matching and has just 76,246 original miles. It was factory optioned with Silver Metallic paint that is adorned with Dark Grey Metallic accents and a Mahogany Leather interior with cloth inserts. It has its original L48 350ci V8 engine, a T350 Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and a 12-bolt posi rear end. Other notable options include the power door locks, power windows, floor mats, rear window defroster, A/C, tilt steering wheel, T63 headlamps, a HD Battery, a power antenna, an engine bay light, aluminum wheels and the ZX2 convenience package. It has been upgraded with an aftermarket alarm system, an AM/FM Cassette player and newer speakers. In 2021 it underwent a complete mechanical restoration at which time all wear items as well as all of the belts, hoses, bushings, fluids, filters, tires an exhaust were all changed. It was last serviced a little over a year ago so we do suggest doing a basic lube, oil & filter after purchasing it so you know where you are at. Everything is in proper working with the exception of the A/C which is in need of recharging. This is a very clean car that we would conservatively appraise as a #2 vehicle and as such we would appraise it $24,500. We have priced it to sell so if you could see yourself cruising in this classic Silver Anniversary Edition Corvette you better pick up the phone before someone else does!
