This one is a 1978 25th Anniversary Edition equipped with the L82 high compression small block, close ratio M21 4-speed and limited slip differential.
With a base price of $9,445, this car was hard loaded and stickered at $12,735 including the 25th Anniversary package at $399 and the L82 engine at $525.
Full ownership history from new as well as comprehensive service history supporting the low miles. Owners manuals and 25th Anniversary promotional materials included.
No accidents, no rust, original paint and upholstery. Original glass. Original unmodified engine and transmission. Correct Goodyears are older but are still pliable with no dry rot.
This car starts easy and idles smoothly. Steers and stops as it should. Clutch is solid and the gearbox tight with no grinds. The L82 engine fronting the Muncie 4-speed pulls hard and sounds great.
The interior is also all original. The mahogany leather seats are in nice condition with minimal wear. The carpet has some light fading but is not stained or threadbare. T-Tops also in good condition and includes original travel bags.
Most everything works. Headlights, wipers, windows, locks, instruments, even the clock. Original R12 AC blows cold! An aftermarket stereo with good sounding newer speakers is installed. The power antenna needs attention.
This is not a restored car and has some light patina throughout. But as they say, its only original once and that is what best describes this car.
