1978 Chevrolet Corvette L82 Pace Car Edition This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette L82 Pace Car Edition lived in Pennsylvania and has only 391 original miles. Just 6,502 of these black and silver Corvettes were produced, each with a unique vin. Power is provided by a 350ci L82 V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a Positraction differential. The 350ci L82 V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and an aluminum intake manifold and was factory rated at 220 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in silver cloth along with a color-matching dash, center console, door panels, and carpeting. Interior amenities include a power-adjustable drivers seat, an AM/FM eight-track stereo, cruise control, power windows, and a tilting steering column. The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. Gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level are in the center stack. This is a great car with some decent collectability, but importantly with T-tops and some of the best handling the 70s had to offer on any car produced, this is a great car to cruise on a sunny day to a car show or your favorite destination.
