The Most Desirable Corvette Ever?

The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!

The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.

Classic Car Overview

1978 Chevrolet Corvette 25th Anniversary Mention the name Corvette and immediately someone in the conversation will perk up and pay attention. Its a timeless American sports car and has gone through several personality changes. From the 2-seat coupe when first introduced, to a fast 50s classic, to the Stingray Versions of the 1960s and Early 1970s. By the 25th year, engineers were all but finished muddling through the power struggle with emissions. And the 25th Anniversary Corvette was born A 25th Anniversary Corvette who some have argued that next to the Stingrays, this is the nicest curved design. This Corvette presents in beautiful low original mileage condition (15,384). Has its original garage preserved paint, the original and stunning red leather interior, and a rare Chevrolet brand factory installed CB radio, so you know where all the Smokeys are at all times. Exterior Silver anniversary silver fiberglass appears in very good condition. Midway the car magically turns to dark silver, then at the rockers to total black. A front spoiler hangs below the hidden headlight long hood. As we make our way back, a removable T top in smoked glass, comes with the car, and has the original vinyl storage bags. Original Corvette 1978 15-inch wheels are all around, as new tires, but purchased to original 1978 Specs. Aerodynamic door actuators are chromed and flush with the door and are just nearly perfect. Alignment on the doors is slightly off but can certainly be adjusted to be perfect. Interior Beautifully contrasting the anniversary silver exterior are bright red leather buckets filling the space between the red door panels. The buckets are interrupted by a shifter and power window actuator console and a storage glovebox. This console curves skyward and houses the A/C, heat, and fan controls. As we move upward an AM/FM radio is imbedded along with the built in CB radio controls. Directly above is, a cluster of gas, temp, clock, amps, and oil pressure analog gauges. A speedometer, and tachometer are fronted by a stock steering wheel, showing 3 spokes and wrapped in red leather. Bright clean red carpeting near perfect, floods the floors under the buckets. Power locks, power windows, hidden headlights, air conditioning, power steering, as well as power brakes are present. A decent sized storage compartment, carpeted in red, is seen under greenhouse curved glass behind the buckets. Drivetrain Nestled within a very clean and corrosion free engine bay environment is the numbers matching 350ci 4-barrel topped engine. Matching numbers can be verified with photos with engine code and vin number. Engine is specified L48 and puts out 185hp. A 3-speed automatic transmission TH350 version, (numbers matching) puts power down to the wheels. Undercarriage Underneath is solid as a rock with little to no surface rust, some paint chipping on the oil pan, but structurally sound frame and floor pans, as well as rockers. C3 suspension all around, and 4-wheel power disc brakes pull the reigns on the 350 cubes. Drive-Ability I could not wait to get into this one, and it was worth every second. Fire lit quickly, sounded excellent, and took off with a snap of my neck, pushing me further into the red leather seats. So far, I thought it was going to rub off on my pants. Honestly, it cornered really nicely, and felt like I was driving a new car. Great ride overall, and impressive power. A 1978 25th Anniversary Corvette with matching numbers, all original. The red interior looks cherry (literally!) and the engine is clean with no corrosion, supple rubber and no chips dents or errors. Low low mileage for this 25th anniversary car that is sure to be sniffed out by the enthusiasts, but you can beat them to it, IF you owned this Corvette...now thats a conundrum!
