Classic Car Overview
FOR SALE!
Dropped the price, hoping for a quick sale..
Just spent a few months and thousands of dollars completely restoring this beauty.
It is a 1969 Porsche Speedster (body replica), with a 1977 Volkswagen Beetle engine.
Midnight black exterior with candy apple red interior.
The head-turning quotient is off the charts. She is dead sexy. EVERYONE looks, EVERYONE photographs, EVERYONE loves this car.
Brand new wheels, tires, interior base completely restored, new carpeting, new seats (front & back), new steering wheel, new interior door paneling, new windshield, new door handles, inside and out, new battery, new instruments. 4 speed manual H-style transmission.
Motor is a 1600cc dual port with dual ICT carburetors and an electronic ignition, Bosch blue coil and 009 distributor.
All KINDS of other minor repairs and replacements; cables, wiring, plugs, coils, you name it.
Mileage on the odometer says 5300 km, which is 3300 miles.
She runs great, gear shifting is fluid, brakes are firm, and the ride is smooth.
Please note that she does not have a roof or windshield wipers (doesn't really need them per se, so I didn't bother adding them. Just thought I'd mention it.)
She has been beautifully restored, but unfortunately we are moving and I have to let her go.
I've been monitoring prices on these for over a year and they go for a low-end of $30k (when they are in rough shape) to all the way as high as $60-70-80k. Please see comparable listings in the photo below.
Feel free to also scroll through other forums and check prices over the last year or so as reference.
So I'm asking $35k obo if it goes to a good home. I have title, registration, and plates in hand.
Also happy to send you additional photographs or videos if needed.
I am in north county San Diego, right near the coast. If you are in southern California, come by and I'll take you for a spin. If you are further away, or outside the state or country, PM me and we can discuss details. I can even help with shipping it to you. You can have this beauty in your driveway in one week.
If you're interested, please DM me soon.
Serious inquiries only, please.
Thanks for your interest.
