Classic Car Overview

This highly-optioned 1977 Mercury Cougar XR-7 is an absolute time capsule! With only 35,150 actual miles since new, this fine specimen retains most of its original factory Black exterior paint, and completely original Chamois vinyl interior. Being a one-owner example, this Mercury is amazingly still on its original Illinois title as well! This car is a highly optioned example, and, on top of the plethora of standard equipment, an uncanny 22 factory options were added! Some of the highlights include: power steering, disc-front power brakes, XR-7 handling package, deluxe sound package, $934 power sunroof, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, Twin-Comfort power seats, $558 air conditioning, $399 AM/FM stereo with Quadrasonic 8-track tape, Cougar XR-7 decor group, power windows, power door locks, and tinted glass all around. In addition, this vehicle has the original drivetrain consisting of a $92 upgraded 351 V8 engine and a Select-Shift automatic transmission. In 1977, this car had a base sticker price of $5,274. All in, this particular XR-7 came in over $9,000! Included in the sale is all of the amazing documentation too. The original window sticker, original dealer invoice, original factory inspection sheet, original 1977 registration, original dealership key fob, original metal Ford Ownercard, original owners manuals and power sunroof literature.
