1977 Mercedes-Benz 300D

300D (Diesel), Third owner. Owned by engineers throughout her life, all in the US. Starts, runs, breaks. Current registration. I use it about 5 days a week for about 3 miles (home to the nearby park) and on some weekends to wineries and car shows. Last longest run was from Lynchburg, VA to Charlotte NC. Absolute head turner, nods, smiles and enthusiasts often approach, and conversations start. Has the classic same enamel body color hubcaps, which is highly desirable. I am listing this much below what is normal for this model. I want this car to go to a good owner; someone can enjoy this car more (I have two other German cars; this one does not get to run enough to justify keeping it.). Full disclosure: AC does not work. Aftermarket stereo (CD/radio). Hesitates a little from 2nd to third gear (does not affect the run). I bought the car in December 2016 from a retired celebrated engineer who treasured this car. She has never been a problem. Some seat cushion and upholstery repairs are done to the presentable state. Absolutely comfortable ride feels like "parked" at high speeds. Always starts, always runs. Diesel engine runs beautifully, sounds fantastic. Odometer broke around 155,000 miles. Current estimated mileage is 210,000. No oil stains in the garage. Two brand new tires included.
