The cylinder heads were recently removed to inspect the head gaskets, and the mechanic stated that the internal condition looked exceptionally clean and like new. The engine runs strong, shifts properly, and drives exactly like a classic CJ should. Has Power Steering.
The Dana 20 transfer case has the typical seep/leak common to these units, and the engine has a minor oil leak both normal for a vintage Jeep and do not affect drivability.
This CJ-5 is not show quality. It is a project Jeep, but it is in really good overall condition and a solid, honest driver. It hasnt been hacked up or over-restored, making it an excellent candidate for continued improvement, light restoration, or simply enjoying as-is. I drive this Jeep almost daily. Always kept in a shop . This thing is a real head turner going down the road. Has full doors and top as shown in the above picture but I took it all off day one and never put back on. Spare tire is available its just not in all the Pictures
