The Dodge Li'l Red Express set a standard on how to make a great performance truck. All Dodge Li'l Red Express trucks came from the factory painted in Bright Canyon Red in 1978 and Medium Canyon Red in 1979. Every Li'l Red Express was a regular cab Adventurer with a stepside bed.
Classic vintage Chevrolet pickup trucks are receiving growing interest among car enthusiasts. The most collectible muscle cars are numbers-matching survivors; the most sought-after vintage trucks are full custom builds.
Classic Car Overview
This 1977 Scout ii has a great look finished in blue with a white hard top and stripes. Driver quality paint and body with solid floors and rockers. Custom front and rear bumpers are a nice touch- The rear has a swing away spare tire carrier with a Jerry can holder. Winch on the front bumper appears to be in good condition but the controller is missing. General grabber 33x12/50 tires(with matching spare) on black steel wheels plus a Rough country lift gives this truck a great look and serious off-road bona fides. The no nonsense interior features front bucket and rear bench seats with recent upholstery; for safety, the truck has a roll bar with three point belts(front) and lap belt(rear) with option for rear shoulder belts. Interior floors and hardtop have been rhino lined; new carpet adorns the front passenger area floors. AM/FM stereo with USB and aux input in dash with speakers in rear quarters forward of the rear wheel arches. Wipers, heater blower and all exterior lights are working. New halo LED front headlights. Under the hood is a 345 V8 with an Edelbrock four barrel carburetor, mated to a TorquFlite 727 automatic transmission. This scout is equipped with power steering, power brakes(new pads and slotted StopTech rotors). New stainless steel brake lines, battery, DandCExtreme heavy duty tie rod and drag link, Skyjacker steering stabilizer and starter. The scout also comes with thousands of dollars worth of uninstalled parts including reconditioned dash gauges from Anything Scout, new under dash wiring harness with upgraded blade fuses and fuse box from Scout parts, rear end wiring harness, all LED bulbs for exterior and dash lights, shifter gasket and gear plate, all new dash knobs, all new Crome side marker lights and lenses, and custom wood Scout steering wheel. I was planning on doing an LS swap and have a full pull Gen IV 5.3 L LY5 Vortec 4x4 LS motor with 126k miles and transmission from a 2008 Silverado that I will sell for an additional $2k. These are rare with that low of miles and it took me a while to find the right engine and paid way more than I am selling it for.
It’s a bit more rough and tumble than many of the scouts that have been fully restored, but it’s also offered at a considerably lower price point then a more highly restored example.
