Classic Car Overview

The International Company is no stranger of building things that will last and can take the abuse of hard work and stressing the importance of reliability and performance. The idea of giving the American worker a vehicle that rivaled their farm equipment was a stellar decision from the executives at IHC. Developed and improved upon from the Scout 80s all the way up to the Scout II and Travelalls.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this well documented 1977 International Scout for your consideration. The Scout was recently featured in Hemings magazine as the Find of the Day, Along with the Scout comes with the line setting ticket, original window sticker and also owners manuals. The Scout was sold new at Redwood Truck and Equipment in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. It is powered by its 345 v8 paired with an automatic transmission. The Scout runs and handles as it should. The Scout recently finished a 2-year restoration and is in excellent condition. Restoration included a top-off repaint, new vinyl side decals (matching the originals), reupholstered seats, new carpets, A/C, new windshield, new weatherstripping, new wheels, and new headliner (plus dynamat insulation everywhere). The carburetor and distributor were rebuilt and a new fuel pump, alternator, battery, plugs, and valve cover gaskets were installed along with a replacement dual exhaust system with glass packs. It is covered in its original Glacier Blue. It has a fresh transmission with a new torque converter as well.

The IHC Scouts are rising rapidly in the market and with very few making it out of the fields, clean and well-sorted ones like this are only seeing a bump up in the global market. We encourage a closer look as for this price, it would be very difficult to replicate.
