The truck was last registered in 1991 and has 32,741 original miles. Has an old restoration.
The truck originally had a 300 C.I. straight 6.
The older restoration (~1999-2000) included replacing parts (gaskets, rubber, fender wells, etc...) that are all OEM working with the Ford Parts manager at Friendly Ford back when they were in Pleasant Valley.
I replaced a front fender and whole door which had a small dent but wanted to limit filler. He got me 100% perfect replacements. There is very little body filler in the tuck. Everything is solid underneath.
Things I remember replacing are
Front and rear bumper
Outer grille shell
Door rubber gaskets
Hood to cowl weatherstrip
Rear bed fender plastic skirts
Front windshield glass & rubber
Rear slider
Front (disc) and rear brakes (drum) completely redone
Front kingpins
All rubber pedal pads
*New battery
*Carb just rebuilt
Some of the items I know that need to be addresses are
- one bad hood hinge (have a spare painted set included inside cab)
- fuel tank and fuel line needs to be flushed. Has 110 av-gas but even after 30+ years that not going to be good.
- needs front end alignment after rebuilding front end
- needs brake master cylinder and fluid checked/replaced
- replace tires as they are 30+ years old
- engine needs to be checked before starting.
The truck has the original twin I-Beams in front and has not been lowered in front or rear.
The truck has not been started for a long time but with fresh gas, it should fire right off. Carb has just been rebuilt. It needs a good bath to get 30+ years of dust off :o)
These trucks have grown in popularity and demand recently. It is one of the cleanest, original & rust free '77's you'll find out there.
Come check it out and if a "dent-side" is what your looking for, you won't be disappointed.
