Classic Car Overview
1977 Ford Bronco Build-A-Bronco Custom fully restored, custom chassis, and built for both street and trail.
This 1977 Ford Bronco is a high-quality, Build-A-Bronco full frame-off custom build completed in 2015, finished in stunning Blue Flame Metallic over a black synthetic leather interior. With fewer than 5,000 miles since completion, this Bronco has been carefully built and lightly used, offering a rare opportunity to own a professionally engineered early Bronco with modern performance and drivability.
At the core of the build is a custom-fabricated tube steel chassis, powder-coated in a silver/gray finish. Designed to improve ride quality, handling, and off-road capability, this upgraded foundation transforms the driving experience while maintaining the classic Bronco look.
Power comes from a 331 cubic-inch Jasper-built V8, equipped with an Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition, and ceramic-coated headers, delivering strong, reliable performance. It s paired with a C4 3-speed automatic transmission, a T-20 transfer case, and a Dana 44 front axle with a Ford 9-inch rear, creating a proven and durable drivetrain both on and off-road.
The suspension setup includes a James Duff 2.5-inch lift with off-road radius arms and steering stabilizer, supported by Bilstein shocks (dual front, single rear) for improved control and comfort. It sits on 33 BFGoodrich KO2 tires mounted on Fuel Revolver wheels, giving it the perfect blend of stance and capability.
Additional exterior and off-road features include:
TOMS Offroad bumpers
Smittybilt X2O Gen2 10,000-lb winch with synthetic rope
AMP Research PowerSteps
Dual exhaust system
Custom roll bar
Inside, the Bronco has been thoughtfully upgraded for both durability and comfort. The floors and undercarriage are finished in a Rhino-style liner, while the cabin features Dakota Digital analog/digital gauges, a locking center console, and a premium Alpine stereo paired with a Kicker sound system. Rear interior panels received new upholstery in 2024, keeping the interior fresh and well-presented.
Recent maintenance and updates include an MSD high-performance ignition coil, NGK spark plugs, and new valve cover gasket set (2024), ensuring the vehicle remains well-sorted and ready to drive.
The 1977 model year represents the final and most refined version of the first-generation Bronco, making it one of the most desirable among collectors. When combined with a professional Build-A-Bronco restoration and a custom chassis like this example, it creates the ultimate blend of classic design and modern capability.
Custom chassis. Built 331 V8. Under 5,000 miles since build.
