1977 Ford Bronco
SUV Car for sale in New York, New York 10002
From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.
Classic Car Overview
1977 oversized 302 engine, this car's exterior was overhauled five years ago, and is in beautiful condition, save the nick of a beach chair. The interior is all original except the floor and some diamond plate on the doors, but was not restored. We used it as a beach car and let if be full of beach chairs, umbrellas, surfboards, etc. so we did not want to make it too precious on the inside. It has a modern radio and tape deck and a locking center console. It runs beautifully, and typically travels only about 2000 miles a year locally. It is currently housed in a garage in Bridgehampton, where it has been serviced for the last seven years, and where it was also restored.
