Designed by Pininfarina as successor to the Dino series, the Ferrari 308 immediately won over enthusiasts with its striking lines and mid-mounted V-8 layout a configuration that remains a hallmark of the Italian automaker. Its 2.9-liter dual-overhead-cam V-8, mounted transversely behind the cabin and paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, offered crisp throttle response through four Weber DCNF downdraft carburetors with a spine-tingling exhaust note. The 308 turned every corner into a thrill with its near-perfect weight distribution and precise rack-and-pinion steering, while its iconic gated shifter delivered a wonderfully tactile driving experience.

Believed to have spent most of its life in Arizona, this 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB completed manufacture in December 1977 and is believed to be one of 2,185 produced from 1967 through 1980. It is finished in the arresting combination of black over red leather and features a documented service history stretching back to the 1980s. Records show that in 1988, the engine was rebuilt by the renowned specialists at Bob Wallace Cars of Phoenix a $9,596 service at the time and the car continued to be maintained by them well into the 1990s.

Invoices also record a major belt service in 2016 by Exclusive Motorcars of Phoenix, along with a full interior refresh that included reupholstering the seats, door panels, dashboard, center console, rear parcel shelf, and roof pillars, with the seats and door panels finished in red leather. Exclusive Motorcars installed a new clutch in 2019, while Ferrari Motor Service of Fountain Hills, Arizona, tuned the carburetor, replaced the alternator, and installed new spark plugs, among other work, in 2022. In December 2025, Wormsbacher Motor Werks of Apache Junction, Arizona, performed a timing belt service with additional work including a brake service with fresh fluid, steering and suspension tuning with new bushings, and the fitment of new rear Koni shock absorbers.
