Classic Car Overview

This beautifully preserved 1977 Datsun 280Z, which the owner has had for over 31 years. This classic sports car has been carefully maintained and kept true to its original spirit.
Under the hood, you'll find the original numbers-matching straight 6 engine with Datsun's optional Bosch fuel injection system from 1977. All high-pressure fuel hoses have been replaced with new clamps, along with a new electric fuel pump, and reconditioned fuel tank to keep it running flawlessly.
The car features its original 5-speed manual transmission and rear end. Its received fresh spark plugs and wires, new rotors, and the hydraulic clutch's slave cylinder has been replaced to ensure smooth shifting.
Inside, the front seats have been reupholstered using the same material as the original factory design, preserving its authentic look and feel. The spare tire compartment is rust-free, with all the original equipment intact.
All brakes have been replaced, with new front discs and new rear drums. The tires have just 3,000 miles on them, and the car sports a new exhaust system and muffler. A new battery was added last year to keep everything reliable.
One of the few custom touches is the grille replaced with a handmade heavy-wire stainless design inspired by a 1953 Corvette. I still has the original grille if you ever want to swap it back.
In 2010, the car was professionally repainted at Labadie Cadillac in Bay City, Michigan. There was no bodywork needed the shop matched the original color and even replaced the windshield. The car had been undercoated from new, helping it stay rust-free for decades.
But beyond the equipment and restoration, this 280Z has a special story. Its previous owner found it for sale in the Seattle Seahawks parking lot while traveling with a motorhome in Washington. It was originally a company car for Seahawks staff, and to this day it has a Seahawks plaque on the console.
It was purchased through a Michigan dealer in 1994 which started more than three decades of careful stewardship. Stored every winter and driven to work only in the summer, its a true survivor with a unique connection to the Seattle Seahawks that makes this classic Datsun 280Z one of a kind.
