1977 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
Convertible Car for sale in Alpharetta, Georgia 30005
The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!
The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.
Classic Car Overview
Great driver with all items in working order--Clean Georgia Title in hand. Early 1977 L82 built in Sep 1976 which means it has the orange engine block, not blue from the later 77 models (#1450 off the assembly line) Trim code 69C (Brown Cloth) 1977 was first year cloth was an option), Paint code 80L (Corvette Tan, little over 4000 units produced in this color not sure how many survived in this color so I would say it is rare) VIN: 1Z37X7S404037 All date code correct glass/front and rear glass has VIN in lower right corner Numbers matching L82 engine with non-original intake manifold and carburetor. New B F Goodrich tires installed 19 Dec 2020. The Good: over $9k in receipts from prior owner(owned for 5 years) including the following; Complete new interior with dyno-mat flooring, new carpet, leather seat covers, new seat belts, new gauge bezels, new center console, new Interior wiring harness. New engine parts as follows: starter, carburetor, alternator, radiator, power steering pump, and exhaust. New brake calipers and pads, new vacuum boost cylinders for headlights. Paint is very good but not flawless trailer queen show quality. No idea when it was re-painted, but it still looks very good for a driver. The not so good/items to work on during rainy days/when not driving: A/C not working was told there is a leak but the A/C system is new. Emergency brake needs to be adjusted. New weather stripping (included with sale) needs to be installed on doors. T-Tops could use new weather stripping (not included/have not purchased yet). Slight squeak/noise right rear while moving—sounds like loose/misaligned brake pads, goes away when brakes are applied. Potential vacuum leak or carburetor adjustment needed—the issue is that sometimes the engine will try stall under heavy acceleration (a.k.a. pedal to the floor, tire squealing take off). No issues when driving/accelerating “normally”. Happens very seldom/inconsistently so I have not taken time to diagnose/fix as I just drive it “normally” do not do any heavy accelerations/burn outs
