1977 Chevrolet C/K Truck Scottsdale
Classic Car Overview
With upgrades like fuel injection, air conditioning and a rebuilt 350 V-8, this 1977 Chevrolet K10 Fleetside has the period-correct looks of a 1980s magazine cover, with an interior full of additional updates for a modern driving experience. The K10 features a non-matching 350-cu.in. V-8 which the seller says was rebuilt prior to installation. He notes that the truck has new cylinder heads and an Edelbrock Pro Flow 4XT fuel-injection system. He also points out the CVF Wraptor serpentine system, which includes a 140-amp alternator, GM Type II power-steering pump and reservoir, a peanut-style A/C compressor, a Gates spring-loaded tensioner, a Gates eight-rib serpentine belt hub spacer, pulleys, brackets and hardware. The seller reports that the three-speed automatic transmission shifts well with no surprising noises or vibration. The truck features an NP203 transfer case with high and low ranges. The seller reports that the truck was painted red about three years ago. He mentions no blemishes or other condition issues with the paint or the bodywork. The K10 has retained its chrome front bumper, grille surround, mirrors, door handles and marker light bezels. The rear bumper has been replaced by a tube bumper painted black, with a provision for a Class III insert. The truck has a few exterior modifications, including a diamond plate toolbox and bed rails, aluminum step loops, LED driving lights mounted to the cowl, and tow hooks mounted under the front bumper. The highly customized interior appears to have a modified seat upholstered in black and red leather. Unlike the simple bench it replaced, the truck now has bucket seats for the driver and passenger, with a provision for a third passenger in the middle, along with a fold-down armrest. The door panels appear to be replacements with aluminum inserts and red armrests. The photos show no damage. The dash has a similar aluminum panel and a carpeted cover over the dash pad. The instrument panel was also updated with the same style aluminum overlay, and the gauges have been updated with stock-appearing replacements from Dakota Digital, with digital readouts in the lower sections of the two larger gauges. The audio system has been updated with a Kenwood KMM-240BTU head unit mounted in an overhead console. The system has a subwoofer and replacement speakers, according to the seller. The truck is also updated with a Vintage Air A/C system, with a stock-appearing Chevrolet control panel mounted in the original location. There are several photos of the undercarriage, which show some light surface rust on the crossmembers and underbody, but no significant corrosion. The seller says that the power-steering system is fully operable and has no leaks. The suspension was lifted six inches and features a full set of Pro Comp ES3000 shocks. The seller mentions that he has a new set of shocks and steering stabilizers that come along with the truck. The wheels are 12-hole alloys with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As. The seller estimates that they have about half their tread life left. The seller states this this vehicle will be sold on a clean Tennessee title in his name. The seller mentions that he has documentation and receipts for all the work he’s performed on the truck. These shortbox, Fleetside K10 Squarebodies are enjoying great interest today, especially modified in a 1980s style the way this one appears to be. New front drilled and slotted rotors have been installed recently with new pads.
