1976 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe

Transmission No. 761102 - Matching
J Series - Produced from August 1975 to July 1976
No. 108 of 664 Examples Produced in 1976

Concours-level 1976 Porsche 911 Turbo, finished in its original special-ordered color combination of Minerva Blue Metallic (color code 304), this 930 is one of only 40 examples painted in this color for 1976, and one of just 94 Minerva Blue cars produced across the entire 3.0-liter Turbo run of cars. Built to European specification RoW, it is equipped with a 260-horsepower engine, offering a more aggressive state of tune than its U.S. model.

The paintwork is pristine, with excellent gaps and panel fit. The interior is stunning, featuring a beautifully upholstered interior with a VDM steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, and a Blaupunkt radio. The front seats have been upgraded with blue Madras fabric inserts. During the restoration, the factory air-conditioning system was upgraded with a discreet, modern Electric Air-Conditioning system, similar to those used by Singer, Gunther Werks, and contemporary race teams, providing exceptional cooling performance without placing a parasitic load on the engine. Staggered 7 and 8 Fuch anodized alloy wheels are fitted with Avon 185 70R15 front and 215 60R15 rear radial tires. The undercarriage is in excellent condition: solid, rust-free, fully detailed, and displaying the correct factory finish.

One of the earliest and most desirable iterations of Porsches first production turbocharged road car. Introduced for public sale in 1975, the 3.0-liter Turbo marked a pivotal moment in Porsche history, blending motorsport-derived forced induction with road-going refinement. Production of the 3.0-liter 930 was limited to just 644 units for the Rest of the World in the 1976 model year, establishing the foundation for one of the most iconic performance lineages of the modern era.

No. 108 of the 644 produced in 1976 was completed in October 1975 and delivered new to Gottfried W. Schultz in Ratingen, Germany. The 930 was subsequently treated to a complete nut-and-bolt concours restoration in Germany by marque specialists with direct access to Porsche factory materials, parts, and equipment. The result is a 930 Turbo restored to an exceptionally high standard, with meticulous attention paid to originality, finish, and factory-correct detail. The interior is trimmed exactly as delivered, with the sole deviation being the addition of blue Madras Turbo seat inserts, which is a classic look. In addition, a set of black leather seat inserts, matching the original specification, accompanies the car and allows a future owner to return the interior to as-delivered configuration, if desired. In 2021, Kuznik Automotive Experts completed a comprehensive post-restoration inspection of the Early 911S in Wuppertal, Germany, reviewing all components and assessing its value at 320,000, equivalent to $400,000.

Mechanically powered by its matching 3.0L flat-six turbo engine (Type 930/50), with a single KKK Turbocharger, K-Jetronic fuel injection, Nikasil barrels, forged alloy pistons, and aluminum case, 6.5.1 compression ratio, producing 260 horsepower @ 5,500 rpm with 253 foot-pounds torque @ 4,000 rpm and paired to its matching 4-speed manual transmission (Type 930/30) with four-wheel Turbo disc brakes. Complete with an owners manual, photos of the restoration, a tool kit, a jack, and a spare wheel. Representing one of the rarest colors and specification combinations available among early 930s, this Minerva Blue Carrera Turbo stands as an exceptional opportunity to acquire a meticulously restored, European-delivery example of Porsches original turbocharged flagship-presented at a standard suitable for the most discerning collector.
