Windy City Warriors

From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

(Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, its possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Garage Kept Motors is pleased to offer this time capsule 1976 Pontiac Firebird Formula for consideration. This is an untouched, 100-percent original, one-owner car with just 33,500 original miles. On March 15, 1976, Norman S. Kopp of Wyoming, Michigan purchased this car brand new from Orson E. Coe Pontiac of Grand Rapids, MI. At the time of delivery and according to the warranty pamphlet, the car had just 3 miles on it. The car has always been garage kept and it has been routinely maintained. We have every piece of documentation from original bill of sale to service records to the original registration. The original registered plates still remain on the car. This is a true survivor in every since of the meaning. This 76 Formula came from the factory in Polaris Blue (code 35) paint that is all original. It is trimmed in Black with bucket seats. The car is powered by the original, numbers matching 350ci/160hp 2bbl V8 mated to the original automatic transmission. Other noteworthy features include the Firebird decals, wood trim, rear spoiler, quad tip exhaust, original radio, spare tire, and original keys. It remains rust free, fires on command, and runs well. You will not find another Firebird this original, this clean, with all ownership history and these low miles. It is an awesome vehicle that we are proud to be listing. A perfect garage kept example.
