Power comes from a professionally built AMC 401 V8 featuring a COMP 292 camshaft, forged internals, and Holley fuel injection. Backing the engine is a Novak-built TH400 automatic transmission with a 3,300 RPM stall converter, Dana 30 front axle, Dana 60 rear axle, 4.56 gears, and ARB Air Lockers.
