Classic Car Overview

1975 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2L Coupe Chassis No. 9115400211 Engine No. 64G03456 Carrera 3.2-liter Completed February 1975 This 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe was delivered initially through Holberts Porsche-Audi in Warrington, Pennsylvania, and sold to Roger Clipp of Ardmore on June 24, 1975, for $18,130. Accompanied by its original Bill of Sale confirming its factory configuration, this rare example is one of only 395 Carrera Coupes produced for the U.S. market in 1975-a highly desirable offering from the mid-1970s 911 lineup. The paintwork is in excellent condition and features an RSR-style front bumper, custom rear bumper, ducktail, H4 European headlights, and Carrera side script. The interior has been completely reupholstered, featuring a leather-wrapped Prototipo steering wheel, a leather dash, green German square weave carpet kit, RS-style door panels, a black headliner, a roll bar, and custom sport seats trimmed with green houndstooth inserts. All of the gauges have been detailed and function properly, including a custom 10k R Gruppe tachometer. The 911 rides on 7- and 8-inch Fuchs 15 alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires-205/50 ZR 15 in the front and 225/50 ZR 15 in the rear. The ride height has been lowered to European specifications, corner balanced, and aligned. The undercarriage is original, solid, rust-free, and beautifully detailed. In the late 1980s, this 911 Carrera Coupe underwent a significant driveline upgrade, receiving a 3.2-liter Carrera engine paired with a 915 five-speed manual transmission-delivering enhanced reliability and performance. In the early 1990s, the Carrera was acquired by a Southern California PCA member, who commissioned a top-end engine rebuild. Over the following decade, the Carrera received extensive performance and chassis upgrades, including Turbo tie rods, Carrera adjustable rear spring plates, Nylatron bushings, Charlie Spira Charlie Bars sway bars (7/8 front and 1 rear), 25 mm rear torsion bars, Carrera aluminum front crossmember, and a Porsche short-shift kit. The braking system was upgraded with 911 3.2 Carrera rotors and calipers, steel-braded brake lines, and a radiator-style front oil cooler was installed. Additional refinements included a low oil pressure warning system, calibrated oil temperature gauge, revised throttle body, extrude-honed intake manifolds, reinforced sway bar mounts, and Carrera cabriolet engine mounts. In 2013, the Carrera underwent a comprehensive mechanical inspection and was serviced by TLG Auto in North Hollywood, California. TLG performed a comprehensive evaluation, including a compression test of 180 190 psi across all cylinders, along with valve adjustments, ignition tuning, and replacement of the shifter bushings, axle boots, and front wheel bearings. Also, a new alternator, oil lines, and Porterfield brake pads were installed. In 2014, TRE Motorsports of Van Nuys, California, rebuilt the transmission with a limited-slip differential and short-ratio gears for enhanced performance. A Wevo shifter, 911R muffler, and stainless-steel headers were installed. The front and rear suspension were completely disassembled and rebuilt. A TRE roll bar was also fitted to further refine the driving experience. The 3.2-liter engine was tuned with a Steve Wong performance chip, significantly improving throttle response and drivability. In total, over $20,000 was invested in these enhancements, ensuring this Carrera delivers both reliability and performance. 1975 Carrera Coupe presents a compelling opportunity to acquire an extremely well-documented, enthusiast-prepared example of one of the final 911 Carreras-an increasingly collectible bridge between the classic 2.7-liter era and the modern 3.2s that followed. Driven fewer than 7,000 miles in the past 11 years, this 911 Carrera has been carefully maintained and recently serviced by European Collectibles, ensuring it is ready for immediate enjoyment. Complete with original Bill of Sale, owners manual, tool kit, jack, tire compressor, spare wheel, two keys, and a comprehensive history dating back to new! This 911 Carrera has been prepared and well-maintained. An outstanding Carrera Coupe with provenance, performance upgrades, and expert care over the years.
