1975 MG MGB

We've received this 1975 MG MGB consignment from an MG collector. He has owned this car since 2015, but has been collecting MGs since the late 1960s.

The seller purchased this car from the owner of an MG restoration shop in Louisiana. It was the seller's retirement gift to himself. Recently the seller has moved to Florida permanently.

Health has unfortunately gotten in the way of enjoying his pride and joy MG. Shifting manual transmissions is off the books for him and he has decided its time to part ways.

Since 2015, the seller has only put 4,000 miles on it. The majority of these miles were in the sticks on country roads.

In 2017, the carb was rebuilt and many new parts were installed.

Examples being:
- New top
- New windshield
- New door panels (both sides)
- New OEM radio
- New master cylinder
- All rubber trim replaced
- Electronic ignition system
- 3.73 Differential (for better cruising speeds)

The seller also provided a container of even more parts still in the packaging waiting to be installed.

In the glovebox remains the MGB drivers handbook.

The bumpers have been converted to the more desirable, and better looking, chrome bumpers.

This car also includes a tonneau cover, soft top cover, and full size car cover.

In the trunk, the spare is intact and the jack is stored neatly in a jute-backed vinyl bag.

The seller also provided a fender cover branded with MG and the Safety Fast slogan.

drives great - starts right up
smooth acceleration
transmission shifts smooth - clutch feels great
steering is direct - no slop or play at all
solid suspension - no strange noises
the brakes are excellent
the interior is clean
non smoker car

This MGB is best suited for a buyer looking for a car which can be driven rather than a buyer looking for a show car. Our seller is not expecting the moon, but he also knows when a low-baller is pecking at his door.
Needless to say, if the car was not priced properly for a smooth sale we would not have taken it in on consignment. We consign cars that sell rather than sitting around because they are overpriced.
