1975 Mercedes-Benz 450SL

This 450 SL is similar to the saying of garage kept one owner, driven on Sundays. My uncle bought it from the previous owner and kept it his garage for 50 years. We had a mechanic inspect it recently and it is in good condition with only the typical wear expected for a vehicle of this age.

As the story goes, my uncle went to the dealership and saw this white Mercedes there. It belonged to the owner of the dealership who had only had it for a short time. My uncle traded in his car and convinced the owner to sell the Mercedes in 1975. We even have the original window tag and the owners manual. There is a unused hard top convertible lift strap kit from that time we are including as well.
Unfortunately, my uncle had some health and mobility issues later in life and could not drive as much. The car sat in the garage protected until my uncle passed away recently. I am helping my dad sell it and we would love for the car to go to a good home of someone who really appreciates or collects Mercedes.

Very good condition. Garage kept. Sat for many years so upon inspection there were the typical things that needed to be fixed. We had our local Mercedes mechanic perform the service needed which included: Air filter, belts, Air Slide Valve, changed fluids and transmission service. Also we had the tie rod assembly right and left replaced. There is also a fresh new hood pad installed. Further repairs include Steering shock, idler cam kit, center link, tie rod assembly, left and right sway bar links, replaced shifter bushings. Also Misc. hoses belts and tune up was performed on 7/24/2025. Th A/C was also serviced with coolant flush and fresh coolant. We also put on 4 New tires.

There was one side that got scraped years ago. The car was repainted with factory white paint but there is one small drip on the rocker panel really low.
It was repainted a long time ago in the 1980's I believe, with Mercedes - Benz white matching the original color. Some wear on driver side headrest leather.
A couple drips of oil and a couple drips of transmission fluid on the garage floor when I move it but there are no known major issues.
