Classic Car Overview

The skilled professionals behind the restoration of this 1975 International Scout II 4x4 sure made all the right moves. A thorough, frame-off revitalization has left it with top-tier curb appeal, and its running like a Swiss watch, due to a recently refreshed drivetrain. Dressed in Buttercream Yellow paint, the color most closely associated with its model, this is a classic SUV you cant help but stare admiringly at. Not only is the signature paint in top form, contrasting nicely with a white removable hard top, but its also complemented by pristine chrome brightwork, and shows no concerning dings or dents. An added Rough Country lift kit gives this Scout a great stance thats raised enough to confer the aftermarket work thats gone into it without interfering with its unbeatable native aesthetics.

The fully restored interior really must be experienced first-hand to be properly appreciated. Both the front buckets and rear bench seat are now dressed in Saddle Brown leather with diamond stitching and they look incredible, with a pair of door panels to each side that tie in perfectly. Below, the carpeting is well-fitted and shows no perceptible wear. The color-matched steel surfaces inside the cabin were revitalized with new paint and are looking their best. In front of the leather-wrapped steering wheel, the dash area features a collection of factory-style gauges that are crystal clear and in good working order. The air conditioning system is blowing strong and cold to keep you and your passengers comfortable throughout the year and the added AM/FM stereo includes Bluetooth connectivity.

Its not easy to find an SUV from this era that offers a driving experience this one does. During its restoration, both its factory-correct 345-cubic-inch V8 and 3-speed automatic A727 Torqueflite transmission were rebuilt and with a turn of the key, the outstanding results are obvious. Now armed with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor with an electric choke, this Scout fires right up and accelerates with plenty of enthusiasm. Youll find rugged Dana 44 axles in both front and back and when it comes time to take on challenging terrain, the four-wheel drive function on this Scout is in perfect condition. Power steering makes it easy to maneuver, while front disc brakes give a reassuring level of fade-resistant stopping ability in any driving conditions you may encounter.
