Classic Car Overview

West Coast Classics are proud to present an exceptional surviving example of this desirable 1975 Chevrolet Corvette L48 350 V8 4 speed manual coupe in its all original factory color Silver (Color code 13L) paint with all original body panels and with no signs of any rust or bodywork/accidents, all original Dark Red color Leather seats and trim and (Trim Code 732), original matching # L48 350 V8 engine and fully loaded with original factory options including:Desirable 4 speed manual transmission,Air conditioning ($490)power disc brakes ($50)power steering ($129)power windows ($93)Tilt/telescopic steering ($82)rear window defogger (46)map light ($5)dual horns ($4)AM/FM stereo cassette radio ($284)The car is in exceptional condition and the leather interior and the trim is also very original and beautiful condition with virtually no real noticeable flaws! Importantly, the car has four virtually new classic Firestone 5520 tires and factory air conditioning. All the options are working including the A/C. The car will be sold with service records and its original sales invoice from 1975 from Jim Smith Chevrolet of New City, NY, The car has its original and correct matching #s and suffix code CHA Manual Transmission 350 V8 engine.Recent service history shows the car has a new clutch kit and slave cylinder, brake master cylinder, carburetor rebuild, exhaust, rear bushings etc. In 7/2021 at 14,452 odometer reading (odometer now reads 14,521) the car had new front and rear brake calipers and pads, new valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, distributor cap & rotor, air filter and fuel filter, cooling system service, clutch adjustment, install AC retro fit fittings, evac and recharge system, replace power windows relay, service power steering unit and replace all fluids, check all lights, belts & hoses, new Optima dry cell battery; cost $3,128.After Corvettes various legendary big block 396 with 425HP & the various 427 engines of the sixties, including the limited production L88 and then eventually the LS6 454 in 1971, Chevrolet continued production into the early seventies with the big block engine but by 1975 it was dropped from the Corvette range, as along with the rest of the industry, de-tuning to meet increasingly strict emissions testing regulations legislated out of existence virtually every American high performance car by the mid-seventies, with the Corvette alone remaining the almost sole choice for the muscle car enthusiasts. And so the Corvette continued with a pair of small block V8 engines, the standard L48 and the obviously more desirable and upgraded high performance L82 with performance oriented rear axle ratios. With its strong torque output and relatively light weight, this Corvette still provided strong performance and thrilling driving dynamics and equipped with this L82 option engine, the Corvette was the fastest car in the U.S for 1979, rivaled only by the limited numbers of the Pontiac 400 Trans Am 6.6L of the same year. This is obviously one very rare and highly desirable and mostly all original example, apart from one repaint in its original factory Silver color, example of this classic American sports car - a rust and accident free 1975 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe with factory air conditioning, power windows, T-Tops and the highly desirable 4 speed manual transmission. An obviously always garaged and unabused example, the engine purrs under the hood and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly through the gears - an absolute pleasure to drive without any of the older Corvette typical shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day sports car a run for its money!Without a doubt you will look long and hard to find a finer example of this true survivor with documentation Mako Shark C3 generation Corvette.
