1975 AMC Hornet
Car for sale in Turlock, California 95381
From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview
1975 AMC Hornet $8,500
1975 AMC Hornet 4Door. Very original car 76,000 miles.
This car shows pride of ownership. Original owner took extremely good care of this car. When I bought it, there were seat covers protecting the original upholstery.
I bought this car for a cruise night car. It’s a Dare-to-be-different kind of car. It’s been to several Graffiti Night Cruises, in Modesto, CA. This original paint Pastel blue car with a recently replaced white vinyl roof, looks great, and gets lots of thumbs ups from the crowd. It draws a lot of attention at other cruise nights too. The original deluxe lay-back split bench seat still has beautiful upholstery. The dash has been covered and still looks great. I replaced the barely working Kraco cassette stereo with a Retro Stereo Receiver featuring blue tooth, and XM-Sirius ready. It looks like the original AM radio. New upgraded speakers replaced the cheap blown out Kracos, nicely cleaning up the front door panels. The car has a 305 CID V8 engine and three-speed Torque Command automatic transmission that still shifts very smooth. It has power steering and power brakes. The A/C was recently serviced and blows ice-cold air, for summer cruising. I found a set of 15” Magnum 500 wheels that I liked and put them on for Graffiti Night. I still have the original wheels and wheel covers. I also have the original AM radio. This car is ready for cruise nights! It’s been very reliable for the 2000 miles I put on it.
