1974 Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia

A real beauty. Purchased this VW Ghia back in October 2022 as a surprise for my wife, from a lady who owned it since 1993. It has been garaged when not driven, since 1993. The paint is not original, but the car was red when she bought it and she had it repainted in red back in 1993. There are a few scratches on the paint, but really do not take much away from the beauty of the car. In the end, my wife prefers modern technology rather than driving a classic.

Since my purchase, I have done the following:
-New chrome engine lid rack with leather straps from Foreign Concepts VW +$470
-New COKER white walls, JEGS chrome wheels and new hubcaps +$1500
(original wheels, hubcaps and new black walls included thats 2 sets of wheels and 2 sets of new tires to use on your other Ghia?)
-New convertible top boot cover by Chucks +$430
-New custom floor mats +$149
-New side stainless steel trim on both sides of car from ISP West +$180
-New driver seat padding and spring repair +$200
-New car cover +$114

RECENT SHOP WORK BY AIR COOLED VW - SIMMONS GARAGE IN STATE ROAD, NC
-New alternator and fan belt +$448
-New rear break shoes and new break hardware components, new rear axles both sides new rear bearings (both sides inner and outer), new rear wheel cylinders and brake hoses +$2043

THINGS THAT COULD BE REPLACED
-Fuel gage / Clock assembly
-Could use a new top. There are a couple of small tears. When the top is down, you dont see them. Top works just fine for an unexpected shower.
-Could use new rear shocks
-Could use new steering wheel bushing. Not sloppy rides nice.
-A new paint job would make this an amazing show stopper, although it turns heads already!
