Classic Car Overview
This 1974 Triumph TR6 was refurbished in Canada in the late 1980s, and is finished in Ferrari Red over a black interior. The 2.5L inline-6 is equipped with 2 rebuilt carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels via a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission. The car was repainted, the bumpers re-chromed, the interior reupholstered and more by British Car Specialists in 1988 according to the document. The care was repainted by Metro Auto Body in Victoria, BC, where the car was stripped to bare metal, primed twice, block sanded, and refinished in Ferrari Red. The selling dealer reports that though the restoration work was completed in the lat 1980s, the work appears to have been done to a high standard, with consistent fit and finish throughout. The car features hand-painted pinstripes, Union Jack stickers on the rear quarters, and a tubular roll bar. The 15" steel wheels are fitted with trim rings and Triumph center caps, and a set of Dunlop tires are mounted. The bumpers where re-chromed by British Car Specialists, and the car retains factory US market lighting with side markers. The interior was replaced during the 1988 refurbishment, including the fitment of Tremclad sound deadening material, interior trim, sun visors, a replacement stereo, speaker panels, and new upholstery with new seat diaphragms. Factory instrumentation has been retained, including a 140 mph speedometer, tachometer with 5,8000 rpm redline, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge. The 2.5L inline-six is fitted with dual carburetors and a factory airbox.
