This 1974 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser 4x4 was completely restored and imported to the U.S. The restoration includes rebuilding the stock Toyota F 3.9-liter inline-six, and numerous modern upgrades make driving easier and more comfortable. A modern five-speed manual transmission replaced the original three-speed for better drivability and lower revs in highway driving. The drum brakes were replaced with disc brakes, and air conditioning was installed to cool the cabin. The original front seats were replaced with more modern items that were upholstered with new leather. The vehicle is fitted with a removable hardtop. As seen in the provided photos, the vehicle appears nicely finished throughout. The car is in perfect condition, from the body to the mechanics.
Built in Japan, this FJ40 Land Cruiser would have been functionally like those sold in the U.S. when new, with some detail differences. Vehicles sold in hotter climates generally did not come with a heater
