Fusion Motor Company is proud to announce the 1974 Pontiac Trans Am! This vehicle is coming up for sale from its owner of the last 20 years. It is equipped with a 400ci V8 original 74 block, number matching to the car, built to a 465ci stroker with 575HP. Its linked to a ProBuilt Automatics 700R4 Pro Street Elite unit with a 10 Continental 2800 rpm stall non-lockup unit with a ballooning plate and a B&M 4SPD OD Mega Shifter in the original console. The factory suspension has been reworked with Hotchkis coils, UMI Performance bars, Energy Suspension bushings, welded subframe connectors, and Herb Adams eyelet modification to the rear leaf springs perch brackets for better squatting and handling. The front features Stainless Steel Brake dual-piston calipers with a Hydro boost setup, and the rear retains OEM lightweight drums. The fuel delivery system includes a Mallory 110 gph electric fuel pump with -8 fuel lines to a Holley regulator feeding a Quadra jet carburetor. The car is refinished in Porsche Red and has a complete original black vinyl interior, freshened up with all functions to standards, including a dash calibrated to actual road speeds. The dashboard and shifter faceplate are intact. Additional specifications include: 10-Bolt 8.50 3.73 ratio Eaton posi unit with Moser hardened axles and a T/A girdle cover. 17x8.5 front and 17x9.5 rear billet Wheel Vintique wheels with Continental Extreme Contact tires. 445RWHP on a Dyno Jet chassis dyno. 10.65:1 compression pump gas friendly engine with an Eagle 4.210 forged crankshaft, PPR A-beam 4340 con rods, Ross custom 2618 pistons, Edelbrock round port 315+cfm heads, RPM style intake port matched to heads, and a reworked late Q-jet Carb. Crower roller rockers, Comp Cams Old Faithful hydraulic roller cam with Crower solid roller HIPPO lifters, Sims needle bearing roller TC setup, and a POP precision oil pumps 60psi blueprinted pump with a Canton 6.5qt road race oil pan featuring all windage tray and oil scraper mods in the bottom end. Tunnel Port Tri-Y round port headers into a Ram Air Restorations Spintech exhaust system with manual cutouts.
