Unfortunately the gas crisis and emissions regs were right around the corner and Datsun - like many car makers -went for the easy solution; increase displacement lower compression. The result was the 1 and year only 260Z. It remained true to the ethos of affordable world class handling and performance with Japanese reliability. But the 260Z did suffer from a slight performance deficit with the downgrade in hp and added weight of the mandated safety measures like 5mph bumpers. This lovely White 260Z is a survivor car in the truest sense of the word. With minor paint blemishes and a chip on the front left fender and a well worn but not torn or ripped interior finished in black this car is like your favorite pair of shoes! When you slide behind the wheel youre greeted by a meaty steering wheel and satisfying shifter to row through gears with. The Dash is crack free and everything is in working order except for the AC. The car is quick to start and sounds great thanks to the cherry bomb muffler out back. The ride is soft but supple and you cant help but smile as you zip about.
