From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

Classic Car Overview

Especially for true Cadillac enthusiasts:  Call it Dolemite!  '74 Cadillac Eldorado  VIN 6L67S4Q409837  -  10K in paint alone.  Car was Firethorn red, no top, rough seating.  Stripped to bare metal and double primed with a luxurious coat of '74 GM white and several coats of clear.  Check the hood, inside door panels, and trunk.  This model is special because it was the last year for round headlights and fender skirts.  I'm a Cadillac nut and originally purchased her from an estate in 2004 as a project.  Straight panels, no rust, no bondo.  Removable, verified Dunham, triple-chromed Superfly Grille, fly-eyes, legs, visors, tear drops, and replica '38 Fleetwood Flying Goddess hood ornament.  These parts were salvaged from an abused '74 in Miami, FL and brought to Bensenville where they were professionally restored and triple-chromed.  New, immaculate leather, door panels, no crack dash, no split steering wheel.  New carpet.  501 CID engine with 43,000 original miles.  Coker Bias wide-whites,  new convertible top, motors and components.  Head snapper, great cruiser, and parade car.  Or simply enjoy her as I have.  I'm retiring and it's time for her to have a new home.  I'm fortunate and have had the pleasure of several fine Cadillac's in my lifetime.  I want her to have a good home.  She will be missed.  This is the sum and substance; however, feel free to inquire.  - Tom (847) 271-2865
