Classic Car Overview

This 1974 BMW 3.0CSL Tribute is a study in elegance and simplicity, with a timeless silhouette that stands out amongst a sea of cars. Its long hood, gently sloping roofline, and iconic kidney grill are unmistakable.
A previous owner commissioned the refurbishment of this 1974 3.0 CS in 2020 which included rust remediation, a repaint, an interior refresh, and updates to the mechanical system. The body was stripped to bare metal with the rocker panels and floor pans being replaced at the same time. CSL-style details include a front air dam, fender fins, black 3.0 CSL beltline stripes, and a rear lip spoiler. This example received 2nd place in the Huntington Beach Concours dElegance exhibit in 2021 as a result of its meticulous refurbishment. Pulse offers this CSL tribute with refurbishment photos and records, keys, and a clean Nevada title.
Refinished in its original Polaris Silver paint, the attention to detail reflects a reverence for the automotive heritage that inspired its restoration. At the heart of this artwork of automotive design lies a numbers-matching 3.0-liter M30 inline-six, equipped with a tubular header and dual Weber carburetors mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The power plant produces 180 Horsepower @6000rpm and 188 lb-ft of torque @4000rpm. The refurbishment also included a replacement exhaust system, water pump, radiator, battery, spark plugs, and ignition wires. The car was most recently serviced with an oil change.
The refurbished interior includes Scheel fixed-back bucket seats upholstered in black leather with textured fabric inserts. Matching leather clads the upper and lower portions of the dashboard, and further additions include replacement door cards, refinished wood trim, and square-weave carpeting. A Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette radio is housed within the base of the center stack. Instrumentation consists of a 150-mph speedometer and a tachometer, as well as a clock and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and fuel level.
Alpina-style 16 wheels wear Michelin Pilot Sport tires 205/55(F) and 225/50 (R). Suspension modifications include Bilstein struts and shocks paired with aftermarket sport springs, while the four-wheel disc brakes feature rebuilt calipers and replacement rotors and lines.
This 1974 BMW CSL 3.0 Tribute is a gem amongst automotive treasures. A true drivers car that captures the spirit of automotive excellence and stands as a triumph of refined craftsmanship.
New OEM Bosch Spark Plugs and OEM in-line fuel filter installed in October of 2024.
