Classic Car Overview

History:
This is a matching numbers and colors Alfa, one of only 1,432 examples produced for the North American market in 1974. Alfa Romeo archive records show AR 3023536 selling on March 14, 1974 to the first owner, Vic Provenzano of California. Vic was the two-time SCCA B-Sedan National Champion in 1967 & 1970 and a very successful racer in the Trans-Am U2L and Two-Five Challenge series for Alfa Romeo. Vic sold the GTV on August 25, 1977 to Greg Higham of Bridgestone Racing. The third, and current, owner purchased the Alfa from Mr. Higham on August 11, 2017, and embarked on a 7-year ground up restoration with the help of Gary Todisco and Anthony Rimicci. The three-owner California car has great ownership history, old period photos, and license plates.

Condition:
This car is the nicest example one could hope to find. Completely restored between 2017-2025 at a cost exceeding $150,000; restoration receipts and photographs on hand. This GTV drives as new, with good power from the mild sport tune and handling - thanks to the Alfaholics stage one upgrades. Along with these engine upgrades comes a completely refurbished transmission and brakes. The renowned Alfa Romeo driving experience at its best!

Upgrades:
Crankshaft: Sent out for polishing, oil galleys cleaned, and new plugs inserted.
Oil Pump: Rebuilt factory oil pump, extra shim added for increased oil pressure.
Connecting rods: Rebuilt factory rods with new bushings.
Pistons: Motronic 10:5:1 pistons with new liners/rings.
Cylinder Head: Stock cylinder head with stock intake and exhaust valves. Colombo & Bariani Euro spec 10.6mm camshafts.
Fuel Injection: Wes Ingram rebuilt pump, injectors, and thermostatic actuator restored to Wes Ingrams HP 6000 specs.
Ignition: 123 electronic distributor with programable built in curves. Currently set on the Shankle performance street curve.
Alfaholics stainless exhaust system complete from the header to the tail pipe.
Alfaholics stage one suspension kit.

Of Note:
Only 1,432 2000 GT Veloces were produced for the USA in 1974. This example has a factory Certificate of Origin from Italy and is thus matching numbers. With only 3 owners, there is great history, including old photos, old original California license plates on a clear California title. Restoration receipts.
