1974 Alfa Romeo 2000

-Red with Black interior, Red carpeting, Spica fuel injected 1962cc inline 4-cylinder engine, 5-speed manual transmission, Restored, Panasport wheels, Hidden modern radio and amplifier unit, factory Owners handbook, Factory spare wheel/tire, Jack and Lug wrench. Designed by the young Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone, the GTV was an instant classic from its introduction as the Giulia Sprint GT in 1963. The biggest revision came in 1969, with the elimination of the early stepped hood. It was then that the Giulia coupe became known as the GTV. Engine displacement grew over the years, the original carbureted 1570-cc DOHC four-cylinder (1600) was replaced with the 1962-cc (2000) motor in its final evolution, the GTV of 1973-1974. This engine was smoother, torquier and with greater power. This 2000 GTV is absolutely superb throughout. This GTV has enjoyed proper collector-enthusiast Alfa Romeo Club member ownership for many, many years and constantly been maintained regardless of use. On the above side, body fitment-gaps are excellent and the underside is equally as good, detailed and showing no signs of previous rust repair or accident damage. This GTVs history file spanning over the last 30 years will attest to not only its proper restoration throughout, but its maintenance throughout these years and to date. Recent servicing has include a gearbox rebuild, water pump replacement and filter and fluid service. A truly iconic sports coupe, this Alfa is dialed in extremely well, it is comfortable both on the highway for touring pleasure as it is around town performing errands. The Alfa GTVs are well balanced cars with slick gearboxes and nimble/predictable handling. Wonderful sports cars in every respect, Alfa GTVs are extremely hard to find in this condition and with such detailed and documented history. A recent road test attests to the car performing flawlessly in every way and it is ready for immediate use and enjoyment.
