Classic Car Overview
1973 Volvo 1800ES California car.
B20F 2 liter 4 cylinder with Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection, automatic transmission and air conditioning. Odometer shows 146,225 miles. The 1800ES was only produced in 1972 and 1973 with 8078 units total production. Roughly half of those went to the U.S.
2014 Restoration included body and paint, engine rebuild, new fuel tank, front seat upholstery and rear carpets. The paint is in good condition with a few minor flaws. Since I have owned it I have installed new seat belts, a new stainless steel exhaust, a new drive shaft and drive shaft bearing, new door panels, replaced the cold start valve and done a minor tune up. I have also replaced the headlights and installed relays on the headlight circuits so there is full voltage at the lights (that means they are bright).
I drive it often but not on a regular basis. It starts easily and runs well. It always gets looks and comments. The documentation I got with the car includes information on the rebuild as well as all previous owners and their locations (California).
