Classic Car Overview

Produced for 8 years (1969-1976), the Triumph TR6 delivered a savvy performance platform. Fitted with independent suspension, front disc brakes, fully synchromesh 4-speed transmissions, bucket seats, 15 wheels, and a 6-cylinder power plant offering 104 horsepower! They enjoyed a very healthy model run as far as auto manufacturing goes with the 8-year production. These beautiful cars were incredibly desirable, always fun to drive, and rather simple in design. And they offered an interior cabin slightly more suited for taller drivers! This 1973 Triumph TR6 roadster is finished in Pimento Red with Black leather upholstery, black carpets and new matching convertible top. Factory appointed equipment include correct CF-coded 2.5L Straight 6 cylinder engine with dual Stromberg 175 CD-2 carburetors, fully synchromesh 4-speed manual transmission with optional J-type overdrive, 15 steel wheels with Coker Classic redline radial tires, full Smiths instrumentation, wood veneer dash, passenger vanity mirror, heater & defrost, dual chrome exterior mirrors, leather wrapped steering wheel & shift knob, 3-point seatbelts, power front disc brakes, and day/night mirror. This cosmetically restored example comes complete with original steel spare tire, convertible top boot, and upgraded CD audio system. This beautiful driver was restored in 2024 to include all new exterior paint refinished by Donovan Auto Body in St. Peters, Missouri. This was completed with all new weather stripping, installation of new door handles, mirrors, emblems, washer sprayers, new Pilkington windshield & seal, wiper blades, side marker lenses, and radio antenna. Inside, it was treated to brand new molded carpeting, door panels, rear side panels, door handles & window cranks, shifter and e-brake boot covers, sun visors, and a new convertible top. Other newer items on this car include heater control valve assembly, all new coolant, radiator & heater hoses/clamps, new fuel tank, rebuilt Stromberg carburetors with choke cable assembly, new fuel filter, fresh spark plugs, Pertronix ignition, cleaned & repacked front wheel bearings, new front brakes, front sway bar bushings & end links, fully rebuilt rear axle shafts with new u-joints & greased slip joints, rear axle mount bushings, new battery, brake fluid flush, new transmission fluid, engine oil change & cartridge filter. It is very nicely detailed and drives out wonderfully! These cars represent a dying breed of collectible automobiles that can still be purchased at a great entry-level price point for a British car enthusiast looking for something they can truly drive regularly. This TR6 has been in the hands of its former caretaker since June 1998, enjoyed mostly during the summer months. Priced accordingly for the recent 2024/2025 restoration, it will be a great investment to an astute buyer! Please call with additional questions, or to schedule an opportunity to review the car in person. We look forward to working with you!
