Classic Car Overview

1973 Triumph GT6 Mk III Overdrive. Fresh Frame-Off Nut-and-Bolt Restoration

This is one of the finest GT6s you will find. A meticulous, ground-up restoration was just completed, with only a few miles added for tuning. The donor car was exceptionally solid and virtually rust-free, and the body was completely media-blasted before a comprehensive rebuild.

Powertrain
Engine: Rebuilt bottom end with new bearings and balanced crankshaft. Ported head, stainless valves, manganese-bronze guides, GP2 cam, upgraded lifters, lightweight aluminum flywheel, and new clutch. Believed to produce well over 150 hp.

Fuel & Ignition: Triple brand-new Spanish Weber carburetors on a new intake manifold with heater crossover, factory heater valve, Holley fuel-pressure regulator, fuel-pressure gauge, and electronic ignition.

Cooling & Exhaust: Factory radiator fully rebuilt, electric fan relay set to 175 °F, long-tube stainless header into full stainless exhaust, and oil catch can for the PCV system.

Transmission & Rear End: Four-speed gearbox with overdrive rebuilt with new synchros and bearings; rear differential rebuilt with new bearings.

Chassis & Suspension
Powder-coated frame and suspension components assembled with stainless hardware and grade-8 fasteners. Bonnet frame is also powder coated.

Fully rebuilt suspension with all new bushings, upgraded shocks, and Mini-Lite wheels.

All-new brakes and wheel bearings.

Interior & Electrical
Interior fully restored. All lights, gauges, wipers, washers, blower, and heater operational.

Factory choke adjustment retained.

All lighting upgraded to LED.

Smooth, precise door and window fit; doors shut is excellent.

Images of the donor car and restoration process are available in the image gallery. Additional images are also available upon request.

The triple Weber carburetors will need final fine-tuning to match your elevation and driving conditions.

This GT6 represents an over-the-top restoration aimed at both performance and reliabilityready to be enjoyed immediately and sure to impress even the most discerning Triumph enthusiast. This Triumph GT6 is exempt from California smog certification requirements and comes with a clean California title.
