Classic Car Overview

1973 Porsche 911 Targa 2.7L Flat-Six Metallic Green over Green Tartan

Motors Corner presents this 1973 Porsche 911 Targa, a beautifully restored and tastefully modified long-hood 911 finished in metallic green over a striking green tartan interior.

Originally delivered in the United States as a 911T Targa, this example has evolved into a highly desirable driver's car. While it no longer retains its original engine or factory color combination, the modifications have been executed with care and remain faithful to the spirit of Porsche's early 911s.

Power comes from a 2.7-liter air-cooled flat-six sourced from a 1977 Porsche 911S, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The result is a more responsive and capable driving experience while preserving the character and analog feel that make F-series 911s so special.
The car underwent a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment and presents today in excellent condition throughout.

Interior;

The cabin has been restored in a distinctive and period-inspired specification. The front seats feature green tartan upholstery, paying tribute to the sporting heritage of Porsche's most iconic models. The dashboard retains its classic five-gauge layout, while the controls, trim, and instrumentation present well throughout.
The Targa top is in excellent condition and allows for enjoyable open-air driving when desired.

Mechanical Condition;

The 2.7-liter flat-six starts easily, pulls strongly, and delivers the unmistakable soundtrack of an air-cooled Porsche.
The 5-speed manual gearbox shifts smoothly, and the car offers the light, engaging driving dynamics that have made early 911s some of the most sought-after sports cars in the collector market.

Exterior;

The metallic green finish complements the long-hood bodywork exceptionally well and gives the car a unique presence. The paintwork shows beautifully and displays bluish highlights depending on the lighting.
There is a noticeable scratch on the front hood. (a full set of photos is available upon request)
The car sits on Fuchs-style wheels that are in great condition.
