Classic Car Overview
This 1973.5 911T Coupe is the final year of the long nose cars, equipped with its original numbers matching, Bosch CIS fuel injected, 2.4L engine and 915 5-Speed gearbox. The car was built in US specification and was ordered in the stunningly rare color of Leaf Green over Brown Leatherette. Factory options included; F/R Stabilizer Bars, Raised Steering Wheel Hub, Wheel Well Moldings, Manual Antenna, Loudspeaker and Noise Suppression, Comfort Equipment, Light Metal Fuchs Wheels 6x15, Tinted Glass, and Dunlop Tires. This 911 was sold new to a Mr. McDermaid of Salt Lake, Utah on October 11, 1973 by Dave Strongs Porsche-Audi also of Salt Lake, Utah. There is a gap in the records until 1997 when a Mr. Jones of Farmington, Utah owned the car with around 56,000 miles at the time. It is assumed the car stayed in Utah State until the current owners acquisition in 2001 while he was traveling there for business and saw it parked at a dealers lot when it had around 63,000 miles. The car was then moved to Denver, Colorado and stayed there until the owner moved to WA State around 2004. The current mileage of 106,682 is believed to be correct. A full buyer's inspection has just been performed on September 30, 2025 at Aker's Porsche Service of Seattle with a compression test which shows all cylinders are within spec and in good health. The brakes were rebuilt in August 2024 by Aker's at 103,519 miles to the tune of $5000. New front + rear rotors/pads/hoses were installed, all 4 calipers were rebuilt, and the wheel bearings were repacked. Valves were adjusted, oil changed, spark plugs replaced, and shifter rebuilt in 2021 by John Walkers Workshop. All 4 tires were replaced in 2019, the spare tire is date coded 2011. In 2017 at 97,523 miles a 1000 mile engine break-in valve adjustment was performed and the starter was replaced. In May of 2017 at 96,200 miles, John Walkers Workshop rebuilt the head with new bronze valve guides, new seals, and replaced the full clutch unit, and upgraded Carrera chain tensioners were installed to the tune of $8200. In 2011 SSI heat exchangers with a Dansk performance muffler were installed and Turbo valve covers sourced and put in place. In October of 2008 the car was given a full glass-out respray in its original color of Leaf Green by Phil's Autobody in Seattle for $13,000. In 2005 at 88,565 miles the fuel accumulator was replaced, new Bilstein Sport shocks and Turbo tie rods were installed. Nice upgrades to this car include new GTS Classic Sport seats in Brown leather with plaid inserts, European spec H4 headlamps, Pop-Off air box, short shift kit, Nardi Classico wood steering wheel, vintage looking coco floor mats, and a rebuilt/modernized vintage Blaupunkt stereo has been added.
Any 911 enthusiast will be happy owning this unique colored, long nose Porsche. This car is guaranteed to wow crowds at club events and cars and coffee gatherings alike. The car includes its original owners manuals that are in pristine condition, tool kit, spare wheel/tire, jack, original seats, US headlamp buckets, shifter, misc spare parts, 2 keys, car cover, and the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity which verifies the car as numbers matching.
