With the imminent release of the G-Series 911 in 1974, one would expect only minor changes leading to the new generation. However, the opposite proved to be true, with Porsche releasing an updated 2.4L motor, which, in US-spec featured fuel injection and new emissions equipment for an output of 140hp in entry-level T-spec. With more power and more easily accessible torque, drivability was better than ever. The changes didnt stop there, either. A slightly longer wheelbase increased stability, while a new Type 915 transmission offered a conventional gate pattern and higher power tolerance.
All told, the updated 911 represented a dramatic increase in everyday usability over the previous cars. Stylistically, the car remained largely unchanged, though additional black trim elements and larger bumperettes are tells for the eagle-eyed connoisseur. Naturally, like all air-cooled 911s, these cars are joyous to drive and offer a high investment potential.
The magnificent 1973 Porsche 911 T 2.4 Targa featured here is finished in its distinctive and rare factory color combination of Light Yellow over a Black interior with a matching removable Targa top. This exquisite Porsche has recently received an extensive engine-out service at a cost over $19,000 and is now ready for its next caretaker. This particular car checks all the boxes in regards to investment potential: matching numbers engine and transmission, a stunning original color combination, and incredible condition. As such, this 911 is a fabulous choice for any premier collection. Because of this, I personally the investment potential of this incredible motorcar will grow beyond your imagination. We proudly offer this exceptional 911 T Targa to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best at an investment price!
