1973 Plymouth Duster

Fully restored over 2020-2023. Nut and bolt restoration. Every single component was restored or replaced.
This numbers matching 1973 Plymouth Duster is a true H-code 340 4-speed with the 8-1/4 Sure Grip rear. Legit, high desert Southern California car.
Upgrades abound. The suspension is composed of Hotchkis Fox shocks, QA1 lower arms, SPC upper arms, Firm Feel 1.03 torsion bars, 1.25 front sway bar, QA1 adj. strut bars. Front brakes are upgraded with Dr Diffs 10.95 in. kit. The steering is done with a Borgeson steering box with power assisted 14:1 ratio.
Moving on to engine and cooling upgrades you will find an aluminum radiator with a police car fan and Hayden fan clutch that provides maximum cooling. It is quite impressive. The engine has a solid cam and adjustable rocker arms from a 273 Commando engine. Specs are 214/218 @.050 on a 108 LSA. The intake manifold is a vintage LD340 Edelbrock. Ignition is controlled by an MSD R2R distributor (no ugly CDI box). The exhaust system is from Accurate Ltd. which is a direct reproduction of the OEM system.
Creature comforts include Classic Auto Air air conditioning and Retro Sound Bluetooth stereo that looks period correct. The steering wheel is the hard to find Tuff Wheel. The upholstery is in Parchment white from Legendary Auto Interiors and features the Space Duster package and retains the fold down backseat. The electrical system is a complete American Autowire headlight to taillight kit. All weatherstripping is from Metro.
The exterior features the correct 340 striping over JY3 Honey Gold. For full disclosure, it started out as a show winning paint job but over the last 3 years, post restoration, I have driven the car on a daily basis if the weather is good. I didn't restore the car to sit in the shop. That being said there are blemishes in the paint. It still wins local trophies though. The car drives so well with the upgraded suspension and the only limitation to cornering and driving performance is the 15x7 and 15x8 Rallye wheels and BFG tires. This car would do very well in autocross with a low profile performance tire!
In summary, I have restored this car to be a very accurate example of a factory 1973 Duster 340 with the only visible changes being the modern A/C compressor, aluminum radiator, period correct LD340 intake, and Retro Sound stereo.
My motivations for selling are not urgent nor forced. I have to stress that this was not a partial restoration but COMPLETE restoration that was taken down to the bare shell and built back with expertise and care.
This is my car, I restored it with help from friends who has a professional Mopar restoration shop. I am not a dealer and the price is firm but flexible. I may be able to deliver the car based on distance and compensation.
