1973 Oldsmobile Other Oldsmobile Models

This is a genuine Hurst Olds 455 survivor that will probably become more and more valuable with time! A perfect automobile for a young starter and/or enthusiast... a really cool car when you consider the performance/price. It's an original Arizona automobile with factory A/C car and low miles. Drive to car shows and enjoy without spending tons of money. At this price, it's surely to be a great investment automobile. Will consider Jeeps, trucks and/or motorcycles for trade. Here are a few facts... 

The Big Three kept pumping out cars after 1972 with big engines, and yes, some cars weren't as handsome as pre-'73 designs, but one of our favorite 1973 designs is the Oldsmobile Cutlass. Add the Hurst package to it and you have a very desirable muscle car, one rarely seen even at car shows.

From a performance standpoint, the 1973 Hurst/Olds was no slouch, with a 455-cu.in. V-8 with W30 innards. Hurst changed the camshaft and called it W45. There also was the W46, which was for cars without air conditioning. The W46 had a longer, 246-duration cam, bigger valves and a 3.23 rear axle, instead of the W45's 3.08 cogs. All the cars had the Turbo Hydra-Matic 400, a legendary performer that had a 3,000-rpm stall-speed torque converter and the Hurst Dual-Gate shifter. All the cars had power front disc brakes and the Oldsmobile Rally suspension, which included front and rear anti-roll bars, heavy-duty shocks and stiffer coil springs. Hurst Performance claimed 0-to-60 mph times of 6.5 seconds back in the day: not bad for a 4,000-pound car.
