Classic Car Overview

FOR SALE 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass
(BASE Model, S styling with Base options). A RARE model (VIN begins with 3F37) and survivor. Approximately 58,900 original miles, original 1973 Wedgewood Blue lacquer factory paint, original 350 Rocket engine/TH350 automatic transmission. I am the 3rd owner. Original owner had from 1973 until 2009 (barn garaged from 1986 through 2009), 2nd owner 2009 until 2011 (a neighbor of original owner). I purchased in 2011 with approximately 48,500 original miles from 2nd owner in Gibraltar, MI.

All original except for the following: front bench seat professionally upholstered by Auto Interiors in Lansing, MI (2011).excellent match, including correct stitching. Crossover pipe failed in 2011, so its converted to dual exhausts with standard mufflers and aftermarket, simple chrome tips. 15 x 8 SSIII, color matched rally wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires with approximately 9,000 miles on the tires. Original steel wheels and original dog-dish hubcaps are included with sale if you choose to convert back. The Master brake cylinder was replaced approximately 8,000 miles ago. Holley 650 Quadrajet style carburetor replacement installed, upon purchasing approximately 10,000 miles ago. I have the original to car Quadrajet carburetor in a box and comes with the sale of the car. Aside from the above listed items, just normal maintenance items (oil, lubes, fluids, spark plugs, spark plug wires, filters and hoses/hose clamps) were replaced on the car. The alternator/power steering belts were just replaced in June 2023. Battery was just replaced in 2022.

It is of driver quality, and it is definitely NOT a show car. The exterior has its share of 50-year-old patina including a bit of original rust around the back wheel wells, around the bottom of the door panel edges and on the bottom of the truck lid (all chronic/correct areas for rust on a 1973 Cutlass/Cutlass S/Cutlass Supreme). There are other minor paint flaws and small dings. You be the judge, via the 30+ pictures included. It is a head turner, but please do not expect show-car quality. The white interior with black carpet and black dash is all original, except for front seat reupholstery. No dash cracks. No cracks in the original black steering wheel. The headliner is original and in great shape. Working, Original AM radio. NO A/C from the factory. The directional signals and all lights (headlights, high beams, tail lights and reverse) work correctly.

The car starts, runs and drives great. I would not be apprehensive to drive this car across the country, but anything can happen with a 50-year-old automobile. The car burns no oil. It does have a very small fluid leak under the engine. It is so small that it never forces me to add any fluids due to a lowered level. I have changed the oil, filter, lube five times over the past 14 years, about once every 1,800 miles to keep the engine, radiator and transmission lubed and fresh. It has been a very reliable driver over the past fourteen years. Since purchasing this car in 2011, it has NEVER seen a wet road. It is a nice, reliable DRIVER QUALITY automobile that definitely turns heads.

The car can be seen and driven, in Ludington, Michigan. I will be accompanying any test drives. If you have questions about the car, please message me. An in-person U.S. dollars cash sale is the ONLY transaction I will participate in. I have now experienced multiple scam attempts in the past month and will ONLY sell the car in-person with CASH.
$16,500 or best, reasonable offer. NO lowball offers will be responded to. NO trades.
