Classic Car Overview

This MGB race car is here on consignment from a local widow who recently lost her husband ~ the car was raced by her husband for years. The widow obviously has to use for the car, hence we have been hired to find a suitable buyer for the car.

Unfortunately, we have VERY LITTLE information on this car - the widow knows nothing. We were able to call around and ask some buddies of the husband to get little bits and pieces of info.

We realize this is not a great situation - us not knowing about the car. We'll just try our best.

The good news is it's going to be a great opportunity for the right person. in other words, if the husband was still alive he'd probably ask the moon for the car. Right? The widow says "get what you can for it". "Within reason, though otherwise I'll donate the car to Goodwill and get a tax write off".

Okay, here we go ~ here's what we know about this race car;

the 2-liter, 1950cc motor that was built by Pete Nyzen in Connecticut (we couldn't find anything on Pete Nyzen on the internet). We are told he is some kind of an MGB race engine guru. The engine was sent up to CT from FL for the build, then installed into the car here in FL.

Delta cam
We don't know what, but we were told the engine has 'special' rods and pistons. Don't know what that means.
Weber carb 45 Dcoe
ACCU sump
finned aluminum sump
custom roll bar
tube shocks front and rear
rear sway bar
panhard bar
custom tonneau cover
Mini Lite wheels
Datsun Transmission

We are told that the engine was installed a year-or-so ago and that it has only had test miles in an industrial area back roads, The car has not been on any tracks or raced at all since the new engine was installed.

drives great - powerful engine - tuned very well.

starts right up

powerful acceleration

transmission shifts smooth

The clutch feels great

solid suspension

the brakes are excellent

steering does not have any excessive slop or play at all

sounds great

This MGB race car is best suited for a buyer looking for an opportunity to buy a race car that seems ready to go. Our seller is not expecting the moon, but she also knows when a low-baller is pecking at her door.

Needless to say, if the car was not priced properly for a smooth sale we would not have taken it in on consignment.

We will present any reasonable offer to the widow and get you a quick response. Again, the car is here to sell, we do not take consignments that are overpriced and sit around.
